Pregnancy and depression
I was diagnosed with depression earlier, and married for two years. If I want to plan pregnancy, I want to know if depression can affect the fetus in any manner?

Hi dear thanks for your approach. I understand your concern related to your next future. There are few things being an women need to understand. 1. During the pregnancy period there are lot of psychological changes is observed. Adding to it, the fetus will understand your emotions, sometimes it is said to be passed on. The more you are positive and happy, healthier better the psychological development of the fetus. 2. Post natal period will normally cause a different disturbances in women. This is because of hormones fluctuation. 3. You can understand the reason for depression, start working on it. Try to cope with it. There are possibilities try to find out the positive side of your life. Don't worry. Try to visit gynecologist also to know more details about your pregnancy. You can visit psychologist to support for your emotions and coping with the same. Take care. Stay positive.

Try to share your emotions to whom you trust and comfortable. Don't bottle up your emotions. Do anything interests you, which can keep calm and happy.

Depression may not affect the fetus but your depression may aggravate post delivery. So be cautious
