Pre diabetic during 3rd trimester
My wife is in 31st week and in the growth scan the baby weight is around 1900 grams (1.9 kg ).
And has been tested for the FBS and PPBS and the values have come,
FBS - 115.9 ( range prediabetic: 100 - 125 )
PPBS - 191.8 ( range prediabetic: 140 - 199 )
Is it something which can come to normal post delivery?
What should we be concerned about?
Is it common to get such value during pregnancy ?
Any complications come during delivery or in 8th pregnancy?
Can it affect the baby ?
We are really worried alot 😌

This is called gestational diabetes
She needs medication currently to control her deranged sugar levels
It is uncommon in pregnancy
Uncontrolled sugar levels can definitely adversely affect the baby
Generally diet and exercise post delivery help control this abnormal sugar values

The values that you have mentioned y into gestational diabetes criteria and not prediabetic.
Mostly this limits to pregnancyand later they become normal.
And you neednot worry much about this. Do some dietary modifications and proper medical management is needed.
