It is easier to postpone your period than prepone it. You will need a prescription from your doctor for a progesterone tablet taken twice a day for as long as you wish to postpone it. You need to start atleast five days before your due date for the medication to have any effect. Some women can get spotting in between but this is expected if you start too close to your period. When you stop taking the tablets you can expect a bleed after three days.
