Periods usually return 6 to 8 weeks after a C-section if you are not exclusively breastfeeding, so day 43 falls within the normal range, though breastfeeding can delay it further. The stomach that feels tight when you stand and soft when you lie down, after two C-sections, fits ongoing diastasis recti, which is common and improves with the right exercise sequence.
Next Steps
Gentle diaphragmatic breathing and pelvic floor activation can start now, but deeper core work like planks or crunches should wait until your postpartum check confirms your scar and core have healed enough. A physiotherapist trained in postpartum recovery can guide the right sequence for your gap.
Health Tips
See your obstetrician if your periods haven't returned by 3 months, or if the stomach bulge is painful, keeps growing, or you notice a visible lump.
