Post operative vare for Cataract surgery
Hi Doctor, My mom got cataract surgery done on her eye recently. Wanted to know what are post operative care she needs on the eye. Like how many days she should avoid washing her face. When can she start wearing the new spectacle with the end power etc. Thanks

She must avoid  exposure to dust ,smoke,bright lights,dirty water and cloths,constipation,coughing and sneezing,weight lifting and mixing up with small kids as they are likely to injure

Hello   General precautions include A.  Avoid rubbing eyes B.  Avoid exposure of dust or water for at least 10 days C.  Avoid lifting heavy weight New glasses are advised one month after surgery For more information you can read my health tip on cataract available on practo healthfeed Regards
