Post covid steroids usage during covid
I was taken medrol 8 mg twice day for five 5 days during my covid recovery ,is it considered as high dose .. I am very tense about black fungs

8mg is not high dose.. so don't worry.. have u tappered the steroid dose..? which is very important step to use steroid.. contact me on practo for further guidance and treatment

Check you sugar levels. If it's within normal limits then no need to worry. Mucormycosis(Black fungus) usually seen in individuals with diabetes/Irrational prolonged steroid therapy/Immunocopramised individuals. If you symptoms like headache/facial pain/tooth pain/blocked or running nose/Blackish discoloration of skin then please consult asap.

If the physician has prescribed then trust your doctor. Steroids can be given upto 32 mg (depends upon your need) so not to worry on that regard.
