Possible Bone Bruise
My name is Andrew. Earlier today I was playing tennis and around 10:30 am, I landed very hard on my left side. I tried to play again but I could not and so I got ice and sat down. During this, it was extremely painful to walk. The worst part was where I had made contact, which is on my hip, but I felt pain all through my leg. Eventually, that pain specifically subsided but the pain in hip is much worse. I suppose I have a bone contusion there. If I bruised the bone, this could take months to heal. In a couple weeks, I am due to start my last season of tennis. Would it still be safe to play or am I out for the season? Key things: When I sit or lay down, the pain is much worse if I had just kept moving. There is no physical evidence of a bruise (which leads me to believe that this is a bone bruise). Also, if you are able to, can you tell me the best position my leg should be in? I have never really had an injury to this extent, severity wise, and I could use a few pointe

Hamstring stretching Towel Hamstring Stretch Lie on the back, supporting the thigh with the hand or with a towel wrapped around it.. Slowly straighten the knee until a stretch is felt in the back of the thigh, trying to get the bottom of the foot to face the ceiling, one leg at a time. Hold the position initially for 10 seconds, and gradually work up to 20 to 30 seconds. Seated Hamstring Stretch While sitting at the edge of a chair, straighten one leg in front of the body with the heel on the floor. Then, sit up straight and try pushing the navel towards the thigh without leaning the trunk of the body forwards. Hold this stretch for 30 seconds Repeat 3 times for each leg.

You will have to take time out and rest, which means you will not be able to play this season. This is for the purpose of letting the tissues heal and inflammation settle down. Better for you in the long run. Take rest, painkillers and use ice packs. If the pain is not getting better with this, then your should see an Orthopaedic Surgeon for examination and any investigations as necessary.

Hi Andrew,  jus saw ur lost,  yeah ur are it could be some soft tissue injury,  bone bruise does not make much sense, as u saying pain worsen with walking,  that typical means u require proper bed rest for some tym,  may be a week or two. Get Your self examined once by a sports fellow to rule put any significant injury, else you might be in some tough situation some day.
Next Steps
till the tym,  take some anti inflammatory and rest to ypur limb
Health Tips
iceing is gud option but if more painful you can go for intra venous pain killers from expert.
