Possible allergy to doxycycline?
Ahead of a trip to Cambodia, I started on anti-malaria pills (doxycycline) yesterday. However, after consuming a pill after dinner as prescribed, my lower lip began to swell considerably and only began to calm down a few hours later. With a history of food allergies relating to seafood, fish and Kiwi fruit, I was wondering if I could have a possible allergy to the antibiotic, and if this case seems plausible, should I stop the course of the medication?
