Usually 10 to 14 days of antibiotics are recommended for pneumonia. It depends on the details on which the pediatrician decides. There is no need to repeat CBC and CRP if child is fine. X ray is needed to see if pneumonia changes are completely gone. Even if symptoms and signs are gone, x ray takes long time to normalize.
