For Pneumonia, there are several antibiotics that can be used. It depends on several factors like:
Age of child
Any associated problems
Antibiotics are upgraded based on fever spikes or deterioration of other parameters
Postion of Pneumonia in chest xray etc
Main thing is that with Augmentin the child has responded as fever spikes have stopped so complete the course of antibiotics.
