The CBC report with haemoglobin, hematocrit and all other values are within normal limits and Noting to worry about.
In your Lipid Profile values, the HDL cholesterol value appears to be less than normal.
HDL cholesterol is referred to as good cholesterol, which when within normal ranges, will help to remove other forms of cholesterol from your blood, which if these are higher can be harmful in long term, so HDL by regulating them, helps to lower the risk of blood vessel and heart diseases.
Opting for lifestyle and diet changes to help improve the level is the first and best method:-
1. Adequate exercising atleast 5 times a week, for a minimum of 30 to 45 mins in form of regular or brisk walking, and even opting for other form of exercise is helpful.
2. Changing your diet
- By limiting excessive carbohydrate
- Opting for food made in healthy oil which is high in Essential fatty acids ( omega 3/6), and oils which are only MUFA or PUFA (unsaturated fatty acid) like mustard oil, coconut oil, sunflower oil, rice bran oil, olive oil, avocado oil
-Limit intake of ghee, butter, palm oil, dalda to minimum
- Take seeds (flax/ chia), oats, barley, legumes, fatty fishes, appropriate amount of nuts, green leafy and colourful vegetables
- Can opt for a proper diet plan costumized for yourself by a dietician
3. Avoid alcohol/ smoking/ tobacco or any other substance use habits if involved in any
4. Noting your weight and height to calculate your BMI, it appears to be on a higher side, which also is not helpful with a lower HDL level, thus opting for the mentioned lifestyle and diet changes is the most helpful
