Hi, normal platelet count ranges between 1lakh-4 lakh. Below this range is low platelet count, if its very low like less than 30,000 chances of bleeding internally is more.so platelet transfusion is necessary in such situations. And as far as dengue is concerned there are dengue profile available, the result of which is correlated with your history. if you have generalised weakness, joint pains, headache, fever, stomach pain etc kindly consult a physician to ruleout dengue and other causes.
