Please start with Physiotherapy rehabilitation for slow deterioration/less impact of disease. Only Physiotherapy can help her along with medications.
Try to her positioned in different poses with complete comfortable supports of pillows as well as Spirometry for good lung oxygen conditioning.
We have to care for danger or critical zones that shouldn't come into that so we have to stop to go her into that.
So,her life span will be improved.
First of all you need to have patience with the person as this is a condition in which patient require family support. Physiotherapy is gone be needed for longer duration combined with medication. strengthening of upper and lower extremities with breathing exercise to keep the lungs Muscles strength maintained. Spirometry as suggested earlier. Do it as soon as possible as the condition deteriorate very fast.
Proper screening of the client is needed to check the muscle power in all four limbs (both hands and legs).
It imcludes assessment of muscle power, strength and endurance, after that a customised physical training programme will be developed to train the muscle group to improve strengthening and power in muscle groups.
Occupational Therapy and physical therapy protocols has to be implemented along with normal medications to show better outcomes...
With time client wl show improvements and further deteriotion can be prevented.
