Phimosis- Circumcising
I have a tight foreskin but no other issues with respect to erection. I am not able to pull back even a millimetre from the head. I have a 2 year old baby. My concern is do phimosis to have any long term adverse effect? Few doctors suggest to get circumcised and few suggest to leave it as such! Kindly advise.

Hi, phimosis can lead to repeated urine infection, fungal infection, urethritis, bladder infection etc. Would suggest you to resolve the problem as soon as u can. If you had it from birth then it's ok , if not then get your self investigate to understand the reason why it happened. In any case get your problem solved by manual stretching or surgery. Contact to know about the details.

Better to go for Circumcision. It is a minor operation.

Hi, Phimosis is a condition in which a person is unable to pull back his foreskin either Partially or Completely. I was going through the internet and found out many opinions on Phimosis and Its Surgery (Circumcision). We are glad to inform you that not all patients have to undergo a surgery. Phimosis can be corrected/ Treated without Surgery as well. A lot many patients after 'researching' a lot on Google get depressed and convinced that circumcision is the only way to get rid of phimosis which is not true. Circumcision is one way BUT NOT THE ONLY WAY... Many believes that its not possible or if it's possible then after sometime it will again go back to the previous stage. We don't know how true is that coz frankly speaking, we haven't seen and observed any patient of ours coming back to stage 0. We are yet to see... Pun intended but with all due respect

There is no adverse effect so you can keep it as it is or you can go for the surgery also
