I am a 29 yo male with 153 cm height n 73 kgs weight. I have done my pft becauase I was suffering from breathlessness. Did my x ray as well. My pulmonologist wrote off both reports as normal and well performed. I am very scared about restrictive lung diseases which I've read about in internet and when I told him that I've read somewhere that a normal fev/fvc ratio means resteictive lung disease, he laughed and said a little knowledge is dangerous and my report was in normal range, also told me not to overthink. He told me that I am overweight n need to get in shape too! I am very scared to restrictive lung disease and have been very down ever since. I am attaching my pft report. Please take a look.

Need to know why are you afraid specifically of restrictive lung disease as your lung function results are normal. Need to find out issues troubling you and solution for the same.
your pulmonologist is right..its a NORMAL PFT..restrictictive lung disease has normal ratio along with decreased fev1 and fvc..so actually you read only half part on the internet..so donot worry at all
The reports are with in normal limits. Pl do Yoga, pranayama, and Lung exercises with Respirometer. Pl consult pulmonologist for better evaluation and treatment.
