Pft in covid times
Hi, is it safe to do a PFT in covid times , I have asthma that is not improving since many months but was delaying it due to fear of covid.

PFT is not safe currently due to the pandemic. Asthma can be treated clinically by judgement and proper examination.

Hi. I understand your concern s.PFT is not recommended in this covid times. If done needs to be done with proper filters and in a room which has hepa filter wilh all precautions. Asthma can be assessed based on symptoms as well. Consult a pulmonologist online for a detailed analysis of your symptoms and further management plan

PFT is not treatment of Asthma. Asthma is a clinical diagnosis. You can get treated without PFT. With due precautions PFT can be done even now during covid pandemic
