PFM to Zirconia. Is so much expensive?

Zirconia cost is way higher in some places than what your dentist has asked. Zirconia is the a material which is the most esthetic, nonmetal,safest with longest durability compared to other materials in crown. Now about the price, we dentist don't prepare the crown by our own hands we do all the technical logical work inside to out of your mouth and hand over the impression to technicians. They with high quality machineries build crown of according to your impression measurements and after hours of labour they deliver to us and we with all our capabilities and knowledge try to deliver you best crown. So this includes all the charges from your mouth to clinic to technicians to lab to machine to transportation to clinic to you. Crowns with best qualities have higher cost than the rest. I have delivered may crown but no pt complained me of broken crown but that doesn't mean it won't as it's man made it can't compete with natural tooth. Yes zirconia crown comes with guarantee card if the dentist is qualified and does work from qualified lab. The broken crown can't be because of technician fault or lab fault oraterial quality fault but no where it's dentist fault but yes if the crown is broken within a year I have a policy in my clinic to replace with new crown again and deliver with minimal transportation charge. A successful crown is a result of best doctor and lab team together yet there is no guarantee as it's all materials which can't compete with your natural bone and tooth.

For people who are financially compromise we don't do zirconia never. we give them many affordable options we have in dentistry but they are offcourse below the level of zirconia.
