It sounds like your system is still carrying some **residual Kapha and Vata imbalance** from the viral infection. This is common after severe cough — the main signs you mention: * **Occasional dry cough** → Vata component (dryness, irritation in respiratory tract) * **Heavy head, feverish feeling** → residual Kapha + mild post-viral inflammation If left untreated, this can linger for weeks. The aim now is to: 1. **Clear residual mucus & ama** (to reduce heaviness and “feverish” feeling) 2. **Soothe dryness and irritation** in the throat and lungs 3. **Rebuild immunity** so symptoms don’t come back --- ## **Ayurvedic Home + Medicine Plan** ### **1. Morning (empty stomach)** * **Warm water with 1 tsp honey + ¼ tsp dry ****powder** → Clears mucus, lightens head, supports immunity *(Honey should be added to lukewarm water, never hot)* --- ### **2. After breakfast & dinner** * *****Churna** – 1 tsp + ******Pishti** 125 mg + honey (as paste) → Clears residual cough, strengthens lungs, and reduces low-grade inflammation. --- ### **3. Midday** * *****, *****, and Dry ****tea** (each 1 pinch, boil in 1 cup water, reduce to ½ cup) → Anti-viral, expectorant, yet soothing for dryness. --- ### **4. Night before bed** * ************ – 1 tsp in warm milk → Reduces lingering inflammation, improves post-viral recovery, helps sleep. --- ## **5. Steam Inhalation (1–2× daily)** * Add **ajwain seeds** or **tulsi leaves** in hot water steam → Clears nasal passages and heavy head. --- ## **6. Diet & Lifestyle** * Warm, light meals – moong dal, vegetable soups, soft rotis * Avoid cold, sour, and refrigerated foods for 2–3 weeks * Gentle walks in morning/evening, avoid exposure to wind or cold air --- ### **Expected timeline** * **2–3 days** – heaviness in head & feverish feeling reduce * **7–10 days** – dry cough should almost resolve * **3–4 weeks** – full post-viral strength restoration --- If your “feverish” feeling starts **increasing** or you notice **shortness of breath, high fever, or chest tightness**, that needs immediate re-check by a doctor to rule out post-viral complications like pneumonia or secondary infection. --- If you’d like, I can also give you a **single combined churna formula** you can prepare at home that covers **both cough and heaviness in head** so you don’t have to take multiple things separately. Do you want me to prepare that formula for you? Advice- self medication is hazardous, always consult ayurvedic doctor before taking ayurvedic medicine. Consult me personally for details.

After a viral infection, lingering dry cough and heaviness are usually due to residual Kapha and Vata imbalance. Home / Ayurvedic suggestions: Sitopaladi churna – ½ tsp with honey, twice a day. Warm turmeric milk – ½ tsp turmeric in a cup of warm milk at night. Steam inhalation – with ajwain or eucalyptus leaves once daily. Sip warm water with a pinch of dry ginger powder through the day. Avoid cold food/drinks and curd. For faster recovery and complete cure, consult me for a personalised medicine plan.
