hi i see that youare having pretty irreguar cycle this time.it could be anything from stress to diet and exercise that might have resuted in anovulation lack of hormone delayed continous patchy shedding. i would come to this diagnosis afterupt tests negative and scan is normal showing perhaps thick endometrium.to thin the lining would give a course of progestins. if bychance of contributory factor is found in history physical preventive will be advised.

Thank you for your question.
Occasional disruption of the menstrual cycle happens very often to many women. Before assuming its normal please note if you are sexually active the first thing to do is rule out a pregnancy. If the test is positive the next is to make sure the pregnancy is inside the womb. your gynaecologist will help you with this.
If you are not sexually active you have the option to wait and see what happens and keep a record for three cycles. If you find the problem does not resolve you need to see your doctor and get some basic tests done. You also need to keep a record of any weight gain or loss during this period or any stressful event such as exams, work stress, moving to hostel etc etc when you see your doctor.
hope this helps
