Period problem
My sister is 13 years old and she has abnormal periods. That is her period goes on for 20 days but not heavily. We consulted a doctor and she prescribed meprate 20 mg tablet twice a day. We wanted second opinion if it is safe to use this tablet for a 13 year old because of fear of side effects.

At the age of 13 years the hypothalamic pituitary ovarian axis is still immature and it is not advisable to start any hormonal medications unless and until absolutely indicated
