Hi Doctors,
I am really concerned and need some help. I got a medical abortion in October. Before this I always had normal and healthy periods, with a normal cycle. It would very rarely be delayed - if I gained/ lost weight or was very stressed. After my abortion I am really struggling with I am really struggling. I gained a lot of weight, I am losing much more hair, I am also gaining facial hair around my jaw area. On top of that my regular 32-33 day cycle is now anymore from 45-50. Most of my periods happen very late. It's been 6 months since the abortion so I'm very confused why this is still happening? I have always wondered if I had PCOS - I got a scan done after the abortion and on one of my ovaries there seem to be some cysts. Is it possible that after the abortion it cause my pcos to get much worse? Is this possible? I have done blood tests and everything, I am really confused and need help.

PCOS is not affected by abortion rather by stress. You can start with lifestyle modifications like diet and exercise. If symptoms don't improve further medicines will be needed. Consult a gynecologist or endocrinologist if your hormonal profile shows any abnormalities.
