Hello. You will require an OPG (full mouth x-ray).
Wisdom tooth erupts at the age of 18-21 years of age. At times the tooth does not erupt in the oral cavity, and remains impacted due to various factors like lack of space available in the oral cavity or forces acting on the tooth. This leads to a completely or partially impacted tooth.
Impacted tooth can lead to various complications like pericoronitis (severe pain, inflammation and swelling in the gums of the region), cavity in the adjacent tooth, improper oral hygiene, radiating pain to ears, neck, throat, cheeks.
Hence it is best advised extract/remove the 3rd molar.
Kindly visit an oral surgeon for tooth extraction.
Next Steps
Kindly visit a dentist for definitive diagnosis and treatment
Health Tips
Lukewarm salt water rinse will provide temporary relief.

Hii..
Pericoronitis means, the wisdom teeth below has been impacted that is, not in normal position..
The only treatment is impaction of wisdom teeth..
Medicines will have only temporary relief..
Don't worry.. Wisdom teeth impaction is seen in most of the patients.. It's normal..
Thank you..
If you have x ray of that tooth, kindly attach it. See if their is hinderence in the pathway of erupting wisdom tooth then it's better to get it extracted.
It is the only permanent solution.
Warm saline water rinses two to three times a day, use mouth wash. If you have swelling over face then apply ice pack outside mouth over effected area.
It's better to go for extraction. Permanent solution to this problem is only extraction. During surgical extraction also it does not cause any pain. The local anaesthetic effect won't feel u any pain
Hi ..pericoronities can be dealt with antibiotics course .
But of course if it reoccurs frequently then extraction is the solution.
Next Steps
please start with antibiotics course by consulting a dentist.
Health Tips
don't worry ABT extraction procedure..it's a very common procedure.
