I am having symptoms of Pericoronitis, do i have to extract my wisdom teeth or it can be controlled using antibiotic/regular rinsing of mouth with salt water?

Hi. At your age the wisdom tooth should be extracted if the symptoms of pericoronitis are recurrent, if there is evidence or possibility of damage to the adjacent tooth or if it is likely that the wisdom tooth will not be able to come out fully from its current position. If the said factors, on the other hand, are favourable, you may try antibiotics and mouthwashes on a dentist's advice.
