Pemphigus vulgeris
Dear Dr. 5 years ago, I was suffering from pemphigus vulgeris, my Dr. prescribed me to take steroids. Initially I used to take 60 mg per day for 1 month. I was cured then. But my Dr. Advised me not to avoid steroids completely. He told to reduce the mg slowly. Then 30mg... 20 mg... 10 mg... 5 mg... Time after time. Now I am taking 5 mg once in a week for last 2 years and no blisering is noticed. My question is taking 5mg once in a week is safe or should I have to look for another treatment like Ayurveda. Please suggest. Thanks.
