Peeventing diabetes
My mom is diabetic and is on medicines. Everyone tells that it is sure for me to get diabetes as it is genetic. I am 30 yrs old female with normal weight range. I also consume moderate sweets. What should I do in order to keep myself from becoming diabetic in the future. Should I stop eating sweets? Is it true no matter what I do I will still get diabetes? Will I still inherit diabetes?

This is not completely true. If you maintain your weight, have an active life style and eat smartly than the chances to get diabetes are very low. The genes for diabetes are having incomplete dominance so they may or may not express. You can subside their expression by making your lifestyle active. Stop worrying because genetics is not in your hands but to protect yourself from this is still in your hand.
