I have been undergoing treatment because of PCOD.IUI has failed twice and now the doctor has suggested laproscopy and then IVF.What are the chances after laproscopy and what if we directly go for IVF?

Laparoscopy improves the hormonal environment in pts in whom the LH is very high. This not only improves the chance of fertilisation but also the chance of a successful pregnancy. Laparoscopy improves the chance only if LH is high. In fact if you do undergo a laparoscopy; I would recommend you to try a couple of more cycles of IUI if all other factors are fine. If LH values are ok; you may opt out of laparoscopy and directly go in for IVF
