Patellar Fracture
My Brother is a polio patient and wear caliper for walking. last week slip and broken his patellar bone in two pieces of his leg affected with polio. we visited some doctor he suggested to leave like this it will atomically heal, as he dont take patellar help for walking, so no need of operation to correct patellar bone just apply ice to remove swelling and keep you leg straight. I need doctors opinion. what about the broken bone its wont cause any problem in future. Please help. waiting for suggestions

You should consult once orthopaedic surgeon. Usually POP or K-Wiring done followed by proper good physiotherapy.
