By abusive means both physically and mentally. Has this affected my Psyche and perspective towards life?

Our behaviour is determined by three factors Biological, environmental and thoughts. Yes our past contributes in our hard wiring of brain. Good and bad past will have impact but we are always at a choice point. If taken care of it that can be very productive choices. But past can develop certain Schemas where the person if in abusive relationships will have trust issues. These schemas can be shuffled with the support of a SFT therapist.
