MRI says high grade partial mpfl tear with wavy architecture of torn fibres near femoral attachment. Does MPFL being an extra articular ligament heals back to normal?

MPFL injuries have healing potential and healing occurs like any other tissues of body. However the function may be inadequate due to fibrosis and healing with an inadequate length n position.
Focus on strengthening of ur anterior and inner thigh muscles to have maximum functional outcome.
