I have been diagnosed with paronychia and onychomycosis on my little finger on left hand and am undergoing a long term treatment. The doctor told me to never cover the affected nail and use dry heat. But while showering should I cover up the finger to avoid contact with water because moist environment is suitable for fungal growth or should I just let it be? (My doctor is out if town right now and is not available)
