I have done recently Egfr and creatin test ,Value shows Egfr 77 and creatin 1.2.I am using pantaprazole for more than 1 year for Gerd treatment.Does pantoprozole decrease Egfr value iif it is what is the alternate medecine for Gerd which does not cause problem to kidney.

All the drugs we take eventually get excreted through the kindey so yes long term use of ppi is associated with some kidney damage the alternative is tablet ranitidine it's safe for the kidneys but has it's side effects .what matters is the trend and diet u follow
