Hello. With pancreatic cancer, the survival is best if the disease can be removed by surgery. If it is not operable at present, chemotherapy is given in an attempt to reduce the size and make it operable. Radiotherapy may help in alleviating the symptoms of pain, and is at times also used to shrink the tumor. For jaundice, Stent placement may be done. But of these options, what would benefit him most can be assessed best only after seeing the patient and the imaging ( scans).
