Painful swollen gum
My mand 3rd molar is impacted and since last night there is clinically mild swelling near the erupting tooth which is painless otherwise but causes pain on mastication because it's in the level of occlusion. i have my exams this whole week so i cannot go for extraction right now . what should i do to be able to eat food without pain ? it's almost impossible to occlude teeth or bring them to occlusion because of the gum swelling. the swelling is not red in color .

As you already has told that tooth is impacted and needs and extraction the sooner the better it would be for you to relieve you of all the symptoms. In the meanwhile I suggest you to do warm saline rinses as many times as you can in a day. This may provide you a temporary relief until you visit your dentist.
