Pain while passing stools
Respected doctor, my 2.5 yr old daughter has chronic constipation, doctor has advised syp empty but still child is witholding Stool and feeling pain in potty area for which doctor gave her Anovate cream. My question is that is this cream safe in kids Pls do reply

Chronic constipation needs proper evaluation in babies If she is feeling pain it will lead to further constipation. Anovate cream contains an anesthetic agent so can give symptomatic relief but at the same time it can cause irritation burning and itching due to steroid component. Better to avoid at this age.
