there are a few possible reasons why you might be experiencing pain in a tooth that had a root canal treatment and a crown placed. It's best to consult with your dentist or endodontist to determine the exact cause of your pain and receive appropriate treatment. However, here are a few potential reasons and some general tips: Infection: There could be an infection present in the tooth or surrounding tissues, which may require additional treatment such as antibiotic therapy or a possible retreatment of the root canal. Bite alignment issues: If the crown is not properly aligned with your other teeth, it could cause discomfort or pain when biting or chewing. Your dentist can check the bite and make any necessary adjustments. Nerve irritation: The tooth's nerves may still be sensitive after the root canal treatment, leading to occasional pain. This sensitivity can take time to subside, but it's best to discuss it with your dentist. In the meantime, you can try over-the-counter pain relief medications, such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen, as directed by the package instructions or your healthcare provider. Avoid chewing on hard or sticky foods that may exacerbate the pain. Maintain good oral hygiene by brushing gently and flossing regularly. Again, I strongly recommend scheduling an appointment with your dentist as soon as possible to have the tooth examined. They will be able to provide a proper diagnosis and recommend appropriate treatment to alleviate your pain and discomfort.

Usually wisdom tooth RCT is avoided because it is placed at the very back of the dental arch , so it is difficult to operate at that area. Moreover, maintaining oral hygiene is also not easy there so even if RCT is done nicely , because of lack of hygiene maintainence tooth is bound to get infected again.
Next Steps
Pain could be because of high points on the cap or marginal leakage . Till the time you don't visit a dentist , take ketorol dt for temporary pain relief. Visit a dentist as soon as possible to get a thorough examination done.

Hi. If you're experiencing pain while chewing then kindly let us know if pain is gums or tooth? 1)If pain is on chewing and at night time there might be food lodgement  around the cap, which will be removed while brushing and pain disappears after removing it by brushing and you get relief in the morning. For this issues kindly use an interdental brush and do warm salt water gargle after cleaning. medication is not required apart from keep areas clean around ur cap. 2)If pain is in tooth kindly get x ray done and then treatment will be followed depending on X-ray (RE-RCT if tooth is sound and infected at the bottom of  the root)
