The pain occurs when the muscles around the wrist cross their tolerance capacity to work. Knowingly or unknowingly you give rest and the pain reduces. Focus on the activities of your hand.

Sometimes, there is a possibility of local strain in wrist joint with associated weakness of ligaments and tendons.. which may cause recurrent pain episodes..
Next Steps
I will suggest you to start with hot fomentation,  take analgesic tablet of pain is more, start wrist movement exercises,  apply analgesic ointment locally..
Health Tips
If pain is persistent,  plan to get one x ray of wrist joint..
