Hello
Pain in teeth along with swelling can be an indication of infection in the tooth. The ideal treatment would be to visit a dentist and get a check up done. That tooth might require a root canal treatment or extraction that can be told only after properly checking or taking x-ray of the tooth. For the transient relief of pain and swelling a painkiller and antibiotic can be taken
Next Steps
Just see if you can visit a dentist and get a check up done
Health Tips
I would suggest you not to rely on over-the-counter available medicines

Hello. . Welcome to practo..
The tooth ache can be due to any infection, abcsess, dental caries, or periodontitis or may be mobile..
I advice to take, blumox capsule for two days, two times a day and tablet aceclofenac, two times a day for three days.
In case if your father is having any other medications or past medical history, I advise you not to take the medication and consult me before taking medicines.
Then take an xray and verify the condition of teeth.
Consult me for further diagnosis.
Thank you..
