Most likely your pain is due to muscles ligament sprain while you were bending suddenly. Normally such pain after a week with rest and pain killers subsides. Since you have not got any relief ,it is time to do physiotherapy which may help you.If pain still persists ,get MRI done to rule out disc prolapse . Surgery is done only if there's a bigger prolapse which is compressing the nerves causing severe pain ,numbness and weakness in your legs and feet.
