Pain in lower back
He is suffering from lower back pain from 8 months. We have consulted 3 orthopedists, one neurologist and one psychiatrist. Also MRI scan and X ray have been done. No doctor had any clue about his problem except the psychiatrist. He gave medicines for the same which my brother took for 1 and half months but found no relief. Now coming to his illness. I will describe below in points: 1. He has lower back pain. 2. His pain intensifies if we ask him to do studies.(He hasn't studied from last 8 months. His 12th boards result just came, he secured 50%) 3. He also starts experiencing light headedness if he starts studying his course subjects. 4. He sometimes even starts crying if we force him to study. 5. He likes to play computer games and using mobile phone. We still haven't consulted a psychologist. What should we do? Should we go to more orthopedists or should we consult a psychologist? Can psychologists treat pain?

No. i Guess it psychological. you should consult a psychologist. psychologist do not treat pain , they treat where the pain is arising from- the stress or the root cause. pain will automatically go away. He needs to open up. it will require few sessions. all the best consult with me for any query or guidance

Hello Friend, Good that you are seeking a help here. Consulting a psychologists is good choices. Difference with Psychologist is, he will help him on the non medicinal treatment plan. Medicine are just one part of any psychic treatments and in parallel he needs to follow certain lifestyle changes, self behavioral therapies, dietary changes, excersise etc to get a complete cure. There are many solutions for a single problem, but it all about the mindset of the patient to follow it with conviction. Psychology counselling will help in achieving this, there by his back pain issues also can get cure. Go for it with confidence. Consult a Psychologist directly or online. Feel free to reach out to me online for further assistance.

As I am also an ayurveda wellness coach, such backpain related problems along with anxiety are symptoms of imbalanced air energy or Vata in body. There are massage therapy solutions along with natural medicine available in ayurveda for such problems and you may consider this option as well.

Do consult a psychologist at the earliest. Probably, he might be able to understand himself better and gets some clarity.
