It can be due to lack or less of Muscle conditioning.
Less oxygen sufficiency in calf muscle also tightness of calf and Tendino achiles tendon so it not able to stablise your boys weight if you are heavy or moderately built. but if u r lean then may be ligament n muscular weakness of affected leg too...
Have to asses that.

your pain may be due to hemsting muscle tightness or due to si joit disfuntion syatica nerve tightness so you go to the a good physiotherapy and take starching back exercise and ift + hot pack
