As per my advise don't check the sound again n again by bending your knee.
And it could be ligament injury. So consult an physiotherapist for proper assessment and treatment and avoid cross leg sitting n do hot fomentation about 15-20 minutes at home.
do not bend your knees for longer periods.
do knee strengthening exercises.
avoid prolong sitting and standing.
take hot fermentation.
walking is also good option.
