Pain in breast
From 10 days I have pain in my left breast.
No swelling,No lumps though.
Not in sync with my menstrual cycle.
What should be done? Do I need to have tests ?

Hi.
Pain in breast may be due to several reasons.
It might be related to hormonal changes just before menstrual cycle due to rise in Estrogen or progesterone, breast injury, muscle sprain , rib pain, cysts in breast or may be due to cancer ( inflammatory breast cancer ), infection in breast.
Pain in breast cancer is unlikely except in case of inflammatory breast cancer or when skin infiltration is present.
Next Steps
Usg of breast.
Any family history of breast cancer in mother, aunt or sisters. Then you can screen yourself with MRI of breast or mammography

Avoid wearing tight bras.

You should do a self beeast examination to rule out any lump.you can see uour doctor for a clinical examination. And you may also get a mammogram in view of your age.
