Pain at IV site
I was in hospital for one week where catheter was inserted into my hand..But it has been almost 17 days but the pain has not gone completely and the site is a bit swollen too. Am i at the risk of Deep Vein Thrombosis..I am applying Thrombophob since 5 days but the swelling is not subsiding..Please see the attached image

It's a common sequel to iv Cather insertion due local hematoma and bruise formation . This definitely will not cause DVT. Usually this will last for few weeks to rarely months You continue using thrombophobe and application of warm water compress helps it.
