Overdose drops given
My baby is 10 months and 6 days her weight is 8.7kg. She had a cough so instead of 1ml I gave her 2.5ml mucolite drops at noon then I thought not to give her in night. My doctor recommended me to give a 2.5ml of syrup but accidently I gave her a drops is it Ok. It will not cause any risk to my child??

No,a single overdose will cause no harm to the child,but be careful with medication. If mild,just give steam inhalations for cold and cough and decongestant nasal drops for nasal block or increased cough on lying down. Use paracetamol for fever if required. If accompanied by wheezing or breathlessness or dullness and refusal to feed,consult your paediatrician.
