Otosclerosis is just a provisional diagnosis. Confirmation can be done after opening up the ear drum (Tympanotomy). Surgery is not the only option for that matter. Hearing aid does help too. Price can vary widely depending on expertise of doctor and quality of theatre you’re getting operated upon.

Besides surgery Hearing Aid is also an auction for treatment of hearing loss seen in otosclerosis. The success of surgery largely depends upon the expertise of the surgeon so is the cost of surgery. The final diagnosis of otosclerosis can be made only during the surgery. The preoperative diagnosis is always a provisional diagnosis.
