Injection OSTERI (Teriparatide) is known to cause postural hypotension (a drop in blood pressure upon sudden changes in posture, such as standing up quickly from a sitting position), along with palpitations, dizziness, and light-headedness. These side effects may occur for a few days as the body gradually adapts to the medication. It is advisable to avoid sudden changes in posture immediately after administering the injection. If the palpitations are severe or accompanied by chest pain, breathlessness, a feeling of uneasiness or heaviness in the chest, or radiating pain to the left arm, neck, jaw, or back; associated  pre-existing cardiac conditions or other comorbidities—it is strongly recommended to consult a physician immediately. It is also a good practice to periodically undergo check-ups or follow-up consultations with a physician (MBBS/MD Medicine) to monitor for any adverse effects associated with long-term corticosteroid treatment.
Health Tips
Avoid sudden changes in posture immediately after administering the injection (atleast for 30-60 mins).
