Hello Doctor , My Mother is 59 years old and suffering from Osteopenia and doctor had suggested for Ostrofos 35 .. But while buying it from pharmacy store he informed that it is a steroid and advice not to take this . Kindly help of Ostrofos 35 mg is a steroid or not and please let me know if it has some side effext

Osteofos contains alendronic acid which is a bisphoshonate. It’s primary use is to treat otesoporosis. Hope this clears your doubt. Few known side effects which are mild and disappear in a while are: Diarrhoea/ Constipation / Indigestion Joint swelling Dizziness Headache
Health Tips
Stay upright and do not lie down for atleast 45 mins after consuming this medicine. This avoids chances of heartburn
