Sir, i have osmf due to chewing gutkha but now i have quit it and now will i be at higher risk of developing oral cancer in future due to osmf.i am very tensed about it as there is no cure for osmf .i am going in depression due to this as one day it will develop in mouth cancer .and i have done a long research on internet then there is also given the same thing.but one thing i want to tell you that my mouth is opening fully but only i have some white patches on the surface of the cheek.please

You seem to be having grade 1 oral submucous fibrosis and as you know it is a pre malignant condition. Since you have already stopped using gutkha the chances of grade 1 OSMF turning into malignancy is almost negligible. You need to be under regular follow up with a oral surgeon or ENT specialist. Get yourself examined every six months.
