Oral Lichen planus can be controlled by the use of corticosteroid oral gels. In severe conditions Injections into the area are given for symptomatic relief
There is no permanent cure for lichen planus (just like diabetes), but the symptoms can be controlled drastically by the use of appropriate topical medications..... but those medications are started only after a confirmation with the biopsy..... if you have not undergone a biopsy first, get that procedure done so that the steroid appointments can be started for you....
