there are some simple rules to be followed(fortunately most of us already follow them in one for or the other)
1. Sweet and sticky food damages teeth after prolong contact(so either avoid or brush teeth soon after eating such food)
2. Rinse thoroughly after every meal
3. Brushing teeth twice a day and more importantly at night(after meals)
4. Include citrus fruits in your diet to better you gum health
5. Regular check up at dental clinic to rule out any incipient caries or lesion and so that prompt action can be taken before further damage
6. And most importantly smile more often!

3)Do flossing regularly, and dont use sharp objects like pin to retrieve food impaction.
